老龄化进程的持续加快将老年群体置于国家、社会和媒体重点关注中,老年人的媒介形象影响着社会公众对老年人的态度和行为。本研究基于多元无知理论视角探讨老年群体的自我认知与他人认知,通过问卷调查发现:中青年群体和老年群体都对老年人形象呈积极正面的认知;但老年人高估了中青年人对老年人的负面态度,低估了中青年人对老年人的正面态度,老年人感知的态度与中青年人的实际态度存在程度上的认知差异;媒介说服推论和敌意媒介效果解释了这种认知偏差。研究结果有助于提高老年群体对他人认知的准确判断,更好地认识自我,通过自知建立自信与自尊。

  • As the aging process continues to accelerate, the elderly group is placed in the focus of national, social and media attention. The media image of the elderly affects the public's attitude and behavior toward the elderly. Based on the theory of pluralistic ignorance, this study explores the self-cognition and other-cognition of the elderly. The questionnaire survey shows that both the young and middle-aged groups and the elderly groups have positive cognition of the elderly's image. The elderly overestimated the negative attitude of the middle-aged and young people towards the elderly, and underestimated their positive attitudes towards them. There was a cognitive difference between the perceived attitude of the elderly and the actual attitude of the middle-aged and young people. Persuasive press inference and hostile media effect can explain this cognitive bias. The perspective of pluralistic ignorance theory and examining the self-cognition of the elderly are the innovations of this paper.
